Are you an lgbtq person who is a newcomer or a young lgbtq person who is going to or who has applied for asylum? If so, you are welcome to contact us for advice or just to talk and spend time with us and other people who are or have been in the same situation as you.
It is good for you to know that we cannot help with your case. In addition, we have no direct contact with your case officer at the Migration Agency.
As a volunteer, you are an important person in different parts of contact with the target group. This may involve being available as a resource person in camps or a resource person when there is a social meet-up or creative workshop. We offer regular guidance about how to approach asylum seeking lgbtq persons at different stages of their processes
Do you want to be a volunteer? Email a description of who you are to firstname.lastname@example.org This is a voluntary role.
We provide training for lawyers with a lawyer in the project. The training aims to increase the knowledge of the situation of young lgbtq people in the asylum process and provide skills for public counsels to be able to represent young newcomers in the asylum process.
In addition, we offer places in our network for lgbtq lawyers once you have gained basic knowledge together with others to be able to provide advice to our target group or assist in other ways that are relevant to the welfare of our target group.
